What does a manufacturing engineer do?
Manufacturing engineers work to improve the process of making products for a wide range of industries
- following strict health & safety procedures both prior to, after and during the production process
- measuring & marking out raw materials i.e. metal prior to manufacturing
- the setting up of CNC and / or conventional machines i.e. milling, turning, grinding in preparation for production
- producing components using a variety of tools , machines and / or equipment, from specified drawings
- checking the quality of components meet specification
- cleaning work station, tools and equipment after production process
