Supported Employment Practice

This award originally came about in May 2012 as the result of the Scottish Government’s initiative to develop and expand the provision of Supported Employment (SE) services in Scotland. This PDA is designed primarily for staff and / or volunteers involved in the face to face delivery of employment / work placement opportunities for clients with additional needs. This award provides individuals with the opportunity to improve their knowledge, skills and understanding needed to work with clients with additional needs and other stakeholders within a variety of work opportunity settings. The primary aim of the Award is to provide staff with the underpinning knowledge and skills required to work in a supported employment setting.

To achieve this award, candidates must successfully achieve the five mandatory units which are listed below:
