This award allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job-related skills in their particular area of work and expertise. It is aimed at those in their first managerial role who are likely to have a limited span of control and responsibility for small teams of people. The qualification is jointly awarded with the Chartered Institute of Management (CMI). Candidates should be in a job where they are carrying out relevant tasks and responsibilities which allow them to gather the required evidence. No prior qualifications or knowledge are required to undertake the qualification.
To achieve this award, candidates must successfully achieve the four mandatory units plus two optional units :
